DC Casineros

DC Casineros is a world-renowned dance company that performs Cuban dance Social and popular dance and at times folkloric dances, including Casino, Son, Rueda de Casino, Cuban Rumba, Cha Cha Chá, Mambo, Danzón, Mozambique and newer styles such as reggaeton, Cubaton and Reparto.  DC Casineros has superb instructors that offer weekly Son, Casino and Rueda de Casino classes at Dance Place in Northeast DC. DC Casineros Instructors are available for private classes and professional duet performances at private events.

They have performed and taught at several venues locally, nationwide, and abroad, including twice as the opening act for GRAMMY award winning Los Van Van and the Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club,.

As a non-profit organization, our mission is to build healthy communities through the art and culture of Cuban dance. Rueda de Casino, the circle dance of partners dancing casino, has proven therapeutic benefits and increases levels of zest and empathy in participants.
