Sarah Chapin

Sarah Chapin (she/her/hers) is a stage manager, theatrical electrician, technical director, production manager, seamstress, and organizing enthusiast. With degrees in dance and Portuguese from Middlebury College, she began her career in technical theater as a Dance Place intern. She’s since worked as the Technical Director of the Dance Department at Bennington College in Vermont, and as the Director of Production at Joy of Motion Dance Center in DC, before returning to Dance Place as the Technical Director in 2019. She also works as a freelance technician throughout the DMV region. An avid social dancer, Sarah is part-owner and on staff of New Columbia Swing, offering weekly Lindy Hop classes and dances in DC.
