Dominique Moran (she/her) grew up in coastal Maine spending lots of time outdoors. She is a recent graduate of Connecticut College where she double majored in American Studies and Dance. Dominique spent much of her time studying West African Dance with Iddi Saaka of Wesleyan University. She also had the opportunity to learn and grow under many other artists and mentors such as David Dorfman, Shani Collins, Lisa Race, Heidi Henderson, and Martha Tornay while at Connecticut College. Her choreographic work debuted at the Connecticut College Department of Dance 2023 Capstone Concert “Patchwork”. Her capstone work entitled “Lifeline: To Be Continued” included over 20 dancers, 3 genres of dance, and a whole lot of love. After completing her degree, Dominique relocated to Washington, DC where she began volunteering at Dance Place. She is excited to be working with Dance Place in this new role and to support and grow such an amazing community.
