2023-2024 Co-Presentation Artist: Lauren DeVera
Dance Place Co-Presentation Open Call
Dance Place is excited to continue with our Co-Presentation Series. The Co-Presentation Series supports movement artists and companies in presenting new or existing work to our DMV dance community. A keystone of our curatorial vision is providing support to dancemakers at all stages of their careers and every stage of the creative process from inception to a fully produced performance.
The Co-Presentation Series is one of the methods through which Dance Place serves as a home for a number of artists and companies who are creating work in the DMV. By providing multiple entry points of support for local artists, Dance Place contributes to a thriving dance ecosystem in the region, country and world.
Dance Place invites performing artists based in the greater Washington, DC region including Maryland and Virginia to submit an application with a Video reflecting the projects to take place in Dance Place’s 2024 – 2025 Presentation Series.
Dance Place believes that people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, and women must be centered in the work we do. We strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other systematically marginalized communities. As we move in the spirit of creating accessible live performances, we also invite and encourage makers who are creating works for all ages.
Projects will be scheduled to take place between October 2024 and June 2025.
Before completing the application, please review the Open Call One Sheet.
Please direct any questions to Dance Place’s Presentation Administrative Assistant Malik Gomes-Cruz at malikgc@danceplace.org.
