Dance Place is thrilled for the return of New Releases, a dynamic mixed-bill showcase designed to nurture DMV-based emerging choreographers.
From the spark of inspiration in a college studio to the honed vision of a working artist, every choreographer’s journey is unique. Dance Place’s New Releases celebrates this artistic arc, providing a platform for DMV-based emerging artists at all stages.
This mixed-bill showcase offers a supportive space for college students, emerging artists, and working professionals to share their latest creations, receive constructive feedback, and grow within their choreographic practice. Experience the full spectrum of emerging talent at New Releases!
Important Dates
Auditions: March 8, 2025 from 4 – 8pm; March 9, 2025 from 10am – 2pm
Showcase: May 3 & 4, 2025 at 7pm
Additional Information:
The maximum length for each piece is 12 minutes.
Audition slots are 15 minutes
Selected artists will receive an honorarium of $500
