Join DC Casineros in an immersive interactive performance/Social celebrating the story of the Cuban Dance community in DC, telling the stories of the different key members in our community that help shape and inspire the work of DC Casineros and the community for the past 19 years!  Your DJs for the Night will be the legendary DJ Timba Titan from Baltimore and the amazing DJ Cokie from North Carolina, two awesome DJs who will immerse us through the Cuban Music of the past 19 years!

The event will feature four live, interactive performances, each one celebrating and honoring a member of the DC Cuban dance community and the venue where their event was hosted:

1. Havana Village and DJ Azucar – A nostalgic and lively tribute to the iconic Havana Village scene in Washington, D.C., capturing the spirit and energy of its DJ, Alberto (Azucar) Machado.

2. Rumba at Appio and Randell  – A rumba piece showcasing the period of live rumba at Appios on U Street and a tribute to Randell’s life.

3.  Los Van Van  in DC– An exhilarating homage to Cuba’s celebrated dance band, Los Van Van and the positive impact their yearly concerts in DC had on the Cuban dance and music scene.

4. Agua Night and Alex – A thrilling dance party finale that will invite everyone to hit the dance floor and join in the fun.
