Produced by technical mastermind Ben Levine, I made this dance and nobody cares but you is a series of performances experienced by a single audience member at a time. Audiences get up close and personal with dancers and designers through unexpected lenses – in a single-seat proscenium, through a peephole, within a crowded field of dancers and more. Under Levine’s direction, a team of designers and movement artists collaborate to assemble a unique audience experience not possible in a traditional theater or museum setting. This technology-driven, movement-based performance tips the traditional balance between design and dance, centering the technical aspects of theater as the primary focus while shaping movement around the designers’ vision.
