Dance Place’s commitment to enriching our community and providing equity in access to the arts informs all of our work. Contributions directly assist Dance Place’s delivery of prolific artistic and educational programming that serves 35,000 people each year.

The Hyman & Edith Perlo Fund for Youth Education and Culture assists Dance Place by investing in children and teens so they can participate in our dance classes, Energizers Creative Arts programs and summer camp. The fund supports Dance Place’s General Operating budget, and will be spent on direct expenses and salaries related to youth programs.

The Alan M. Kriegsman Creative Residency was established by Sali Ann Kriegsman and Dance Place in remembrance of “Mike” Kriegsman’s passionate support of artists and their commitment to research and discovery. The AMK Residency is a vital part of Dance Place’s commitment to support artists throughout all stages of their careers. Through residencies, commissions and presentations, we seek to build a field of dance that reflects the rich cultural vibrancy of our country. The fund supports two annual 5 day residencies for the early development of a new work by established choreographers.

The Carla Fund was established by the Howard and Geraldine Polinger Family Foundation in 2017 to honor the career of Dance Place Founding Director Emerita Carla Perlo. The fund supports the creation and performance of new dance works at Dance Place.
