Become an Usher and see performances for free! Ushers work in the theater before and after performances in exchange for watching the performance for free. Other volunteer opportunities are available during DanceAfrica, DC and our annual Gala Benefit.

Community Service

Dance Place offers Community Service for High School and College students who are interested in theater, community and dance. Community Service students perform responsible, ongoing jobs in the operation of Dance Place’s Theater and School. These jobs include studio management, box office, concessions sales, ushering, teaching assistant, technical crew and flyer distribution.
