Energizers Creative Arts Programs

About the Programs

The Energizers Creative Arts Programs, funded by the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education Out of School Time Program, nurtures and supports youth ages 5-19 on Dance Place’s campus, through a creative arts curriculum. With dance being a central theme, the Energizers Creative Arts Programs promote self-development and creativity through classes, life skills, social-emotional learning and job development. An important aspect to the program is preserving the legacy of families through a long-standing relationship generation after generation, in particular prioritizing students who attend school on 8th Street and families who were displaced from the Brookland/Edgewood neighborhood.
