EMBARK. Finding Our Way Together.

The weighted, life-altering impact of the COVID-19 pandemic compelled many arts organizations and creative institutions to evaluate their definitions of what is “normal.” Everything we knew – from classes to performances – had to be reimagined.

Now, Dance Place is starting a new journey in our 41st year. As we begin to navigate this liminal, transitional space, we are charged with envisioning the possibilities of a more equitable, justice-driven arts community.

Striking out on the path forward, several guiding questions abound: How do we find our way? How do we share resources to venture on this path? How do we chart a course? How do we move onward with you moving in pace with us?

In Dance Place’s 2021-2022 Season, we will EMBARK towards answering those questions with a new year of performances, events, youth programs, and classes, and we welcome you to join us.

SAVE THE DATE!

This year’s EMBARK Gala will take place in-person and virtually November 12-13!

We will be joined by Dance Place’s current Artists in Residence Tariq Darrell O’Meally & Britta Joy Peterson, national artist slowdanger, artists from our youth programs, and one more special guest to be announced soon! We look forward to finding our way back together at the EMBARK Gala.
