Ava Delasanta

Ava Delasanta (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist in the DMV area who received her BA in Dance Performance from Rhode Island College (RIC) in 2015 and danced for Providence Ballet Theater from 2013-2015. In 2017, she was awarded the Rhode IslandState Council on the Arts Choreography Fellowship. While in DC, Ava was a part of the inaugural 2019-2020 DanceMetro DC Works-in-Progress choreographic cohort. Most recently, Ava choreographed Brent Elementary School’s production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, assistant choreographed Pippin at Catholic University’s Rome School of Drama, and choreographed and performed in a piece for the DC Dance Festival. Ava is also the CompanyManager of ReVision dance company, a DC-based company that works with professional dancers and new movers focusing on engaging people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Beyond her choreography and teaching, Ava is an experienced arts administrator who has worked many years in various roles at DancePlace, education being her favorite, before transitioning to Sidwell Friends School as the Assistant Director of Regional Alumni Engagement.
