Dance Place’s Internship Programs enhance participants’ abilities to shape sustainable and creative careers in the arts. Interns are selected for specific departments including: presentation, development, operations, communications, and education. Goals include gaining hand-on experience; benefiting from the experience and skills of arts professionals; participating in conversations and skill-building workshops; and building a close network of peers in the arts field.
Dance Place’s Summer Internship Program is a 11 week program designed for 18-24 year olds who want to gain experience working in the arts. By providing hands-on experience in arts administration, interns work in individual departments and have the chance to gain mentorship experience from the Dance Place staff. Summer internship opportunities may come with free housing.
