Artist Master Classes

Dance Place presents Artist Master Classes with local, national and international artists to Dance Place adults and youth. Artists are often from our Presentation series and will offer community classes and workshops in combination with their Dance Place performance weekend. Schedule varies and updates are made via the Dance Place website.

Image Description: A dimly lit stage with four dancers: a duet faces each other in the center, while two other dancers stand in the background. Soft light filters through a sheer curtain on the left, creating a misty, ethereal atmosphere. The “Dance Place 2024 – 2025 Season” logo is in the bottom right.

Upcoming Classes:

Knock presented by Jesús Benzal

September 19 – 27

In collaboration with the Embassy of Spain, Dance Place is thrilled to host another year of our Artist Development Residency. This program immerses dancers in the cultural fabric of the U.S. and connects them with local artists.

Throughout the week, artist Jesús Benzal will explore his latest work, Knock, which investigates the link between short-term memory and contemporary dance. The project examines the body as a communication tool and reflects on moments that persist beyond the ephemeral.

The informal showing is free. Even though the event is free, please RSVP to reserve your spot as the ticket serves as your entry pass.

Join us for a master class and an informal showing to witness this creative process in action
